Did you know the average American child can identify roughly 1,000 corporate logos, but can only identify a handful of plants and animals native to their hometown? We created projects like this to challenge those statistics. Use this card as you walk around the block as a group to help students identify native plants and animals. How many animals will your students be able to identify on your nature walk? This animal audit card can be used independently, or as part of our Urban Wildlife curriculum unit. (1 card per student)
