PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Plants add life to a room and help air quality in your home, but they also teach us to be patient, and about resilience. In this activity, students learn the basics of taking care of a houseplant, as well as the different ways in which plants propagate. Students will learn how to divide and re-pot a snake plant, and will take home a piece of the plant to learn from and care for at home. 60 min | Ages 4-10

WHAT'S INSIDE
This download comes with a detailed lesson plan and a supply list to gather your materials. We recommend buying materials at least 5-7 days before your class and to plan about 3-4 hours of prep depending on the size of your class. Snake plants to use in class should be larger plants with multiple sections; they can often be found in the houseplant section of many home improvement stores.
Designed for Elementary Students ( 5- 10 years )
