Empowering kids to Change the World

So Many Ways to Learn and Explore

Green Explorers Club is a nonprofit organization designed to teach kids ages 4-10 the tools of sustainability while building a healthy curiosity for life sciences and the environment. We explore sustainability and climate change through hands-on experiments and activities that demonstrate the importance of taking care of our planet.

Camps, After-School Programs, Book Clubs, & More

The core of who we are will always be taking the kids outside. We offer in-person camps, after-school programs and more for elementary-age students! You can find us in the Greater Chicago Area and San Diego County. Every project starts with a book and involves a hands-on learning component that models the real world. Kids travel to far-away ecosystems, start their own gardens, explore our oceans, discover famous environmentalists, and learn how to protect our Earth. Each day involves movement, observation, outdoor exploration, and creativity.

Project Boxes

Our project boxes spark curiosity and creativity and provide hours of at-home entertainment for kids aged 4 to 9. Give the gift of exploration and watch as children embark on their own adventures, making memories and learning about the world around them.

Educational Resources

Our educational resources for schools, teachers, after-school program providers, and homeschoolers include Class Packs, Lesson Plans, and custom supplies that teach kids the tools of sustainability while building a healthy curiosity for life sciences and the environment. Kids explore sustainability and climate change through hands-on experiments and activities that demonstrate the importance of taking care of our planet.

School Garden Program

Our School Garden Programs help teachers and staff build school gardens from scratch and maintain them year-after-year. Our staff works with your team to create a garden space perfect for your campus, as well as a comprehensive curriculum set that includes weekly one-hour lessons for teachers and students to grow the garden from seeds, track and identify pollinators, compost garden waste, and learn about regular gardening maintenance tasks like watering, weeding, and monitoring plant growth.

Why It Matters

Did you know the average American child can identify roughly 1,000 corporate logos, but can only identify a handful of native plants and animals?

We created Green Explorers Club to change those numbers. Green Explorers Club is a nonprofit that bridges literacy and science by using award winning picture books to accompany our hands-on activities that model the real world.

Using life science, outdoor shoes, busy hands, and some imagination, our educational resources help kids:

  • Explore far-away ecosystems

  • Start their own gardens

  • Protect our oceans

  • Learn about climate change

  • Discover famous environmentalists

  • Become experts themselves
